Went to Tarragona for my first day trip excursion through my program! Tarragona is an ancient roman town that has stayed small and quaint..and kept up all of their old buildings, including a beautiful fully intact amphitheatre! The town was celebrating their saint's day and everyone gathered in the streets to eat gigantic tablefuls of paella together and dance and sing and drink...it was such a cool thing to be a part of. The people of Tarragona are very close knit and also live side by side with centuries old cathedrals and buildings..it was truly something to see. The next program trip is to montserrat, which is a monastery in the mountains of Spain.
