1.23 dollars = one euro

anytime you go out to eat, ordering water from the tap is not possible. upon ordering water, you will recieve bottled water, and it will cost you 2 euros or more. opposite from saving money in the US by ordering h2o.

mailboxes are yellow here. and stamps are very expensive..about 79 eurocents.

normal time for lunch is 1-4 pm, dinner is usually small, (tapas), from 930-12, and is a very relaxed drawn out time for chatting and sitting outside.

you are not allowed to touch ANYTHING in la boqueria or any other open air mercados. instead, you dictate to the vendor what youd like.

it is not uncommon to go without tipping in spain. taxes and a regular salary are already included for the camarrero, or waiter, so they are usually unnecessary in any amount over 5%. Service is also very slow and seems poor or nonexistent at times to anyone from the US. no motivation, as they already receive salary.

peanut butter is notttt sold here. neither is artificial sweetener.

finally, when walking down the street, any girl will notice...in spain, esp. in Barcelona, its alllll about crazy awesome shoes. amazing shoes aquí.
